No More Pictures On My Blog

I’m gonna make a personal brand stance: I don’t do images.

On my blog, I’m going to put up text, but no more images. When you come to me for text, you’re coming to me for text.

Yes, I know images are important. Good deployment of images is one element of SEO.

If you want me to work with a designer or someone who does do images, I’ll happily close ranks with them.

As for me, I don’t do images.

We all know the convulsions we get from seeing the same clip art on another website. Take it away, please.

We all know the awkwardness of a stiffly formal CEASE AND DESIST letter because you didn’t look up who owned the image.

We all know the lightening of the wallet from paying a decent graphic artist what they’re worth.

Images aren’t my strong point, so I’m just going to lay it down right now, I don’t do images.

What you WILL get with me: TEXT.

You will get text. I’ll make it good text. Funny, such as my sense of humor will provide. Idiomatic.

If you need me to redo it to take a different angle, fine. If you re-edit it after it’s all yours and I’m paid up, no worries.

But from me, you get text.

I will break this rule at any time for my own purposes.
